How to Check the Fault of INA Bearings in Operation

Writer: Eric Bearing Limited

1.Recognition check based on the sound of bearing rolling

We can use a sound meter to check the size and sound quality of the running INA bearing rolling sound. Because even if there is slight peeling and other damage to the bearing, it will emit abnormal sound and irregular sound, so it can be distinguished by a sound meter, which plays a role in preventing it in advance.

2.Vibration recognition inspection of bearings during work

Bearing vibration is very sensitive to bearing damage. For example, flaking, indentation, rust, cracks, wear, etc. will be reflected in the vibration measurement of the INA bearing, so the size of the vibration can be measured by using a special bearing vibration measuring device (frequency analyzer, etc.) Infer the specific circumstances of the anomaly. The measured value differs depending on the use condition of the bearing or the installation position of the sensor, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and compare the measured value of each machine in advance to determine the judgment standard.   INA NATR 17PP bearings online , pls click here

3.Identification and inspection based on bearing temperature

The temperature of the bearing can generally be inferred based on the temperature outside the bearing. If the oil hole can be used to directly measure the temperature of the outer ring of the bearing, it is more suitable.

Normally, the temperature of INA bearings rises slowly as the operation begins, and reaches a steady state after 1-2 hours. The normal temperature of the bearing varies with the heat capacity, heat dissipation, speed and load of the machine. If the lubrication and installation parts are suitable, the bearing temperature will rise suddenly and abnormally high temperature will appear. At this time, the operation must be stopped and necessary precautions must be taken. Since the temperature is affected by lubrication, speed, load, and environment, the values in the table only indicate the approximate temperature range. The thermal sensor can be used to monitor the working temperature of the bearing at any time, and to automatically alarm the user or stop the shaft burning accident when the temperature exceeds the specified value.

Generally speaking, we should analyze the following points from the perspective of the use of bearings:

1.The bearing clearance should be appropriate. If it is too large, it will cause an impact. If it is too small, it will be poorly lubricated and may cause damage.

2.The surface quality and geometry of bearings and journals should be strictly guaranteed.

3.Improve the lubrication quality of bearings, control their pressure and temperature, and strengthen cleaning and filtration.

4.Use lubricating oil that meets the requirements for lubrication.

How to take preventive measures

1.Use reasonable cooling methods

The influence of the cooling process on deformation after metal quenching is also an important reason for deformation. Hot oil quenching has less deformation than cold oil quenching, and is generally controlled at 100±20℃. The cooling capacity of the oil is also critical for deformation. The mixing method and speed of quenching affect the deformation. The faster the cooling rate of the metal heat treatment, the more uneven the cooling, the greater the stress, and the larger the INA bearing shape of the mold. Under the premise of ensuring the hardness of the mold, pre-cooling can be used as much as possible; the use of graded cooling quenching can significantly reduce the thermal stress and structural stress generated during metal quenching, and is an effective method to reduce the deformation of some more complex workpieces; for some particularly complex or Workpieces with higher accuracy requirements can be significantly reduced by isothermal quenching.

2.Use appropriate media

Under the premise of ensuring the same hardness requirements, try to use oily media. Experiments and practices have proved that, under the premise of no difference in other conditions, the cooling speed of oily media is slower, while the cooling speed of aqueous media is relatively faster. Moreover, compared with oily media, changes in water temperature have a greater influence on the cooling characteristics of aqueous media. Under the same heat treatment conditions, the deformation of oily media relative to aqueous media after quenching is relatively small.

3.Parts structure should be reasonable

During the cooling process after metal heat treatment, the thin part always cools fast, and the thick part cools slowly.

In the case of meeting the actual production needs, the thickness of the workpiece should be reduced as much as possible, and the cross-section of the part should be uniform to reduce the tendency of distortion and cracking in the transition area due to stress concentration;

The work piece should try to maintain the symmetry of the structure and material composition and organization to reduce the distortion caused by uneven cooling;

Workpieces should avoid sharp corners, grooves, etc., and have rounded transitions at the thickness and thickness of the workpiece, and at the steps; try to reduce the asymmetry of the hole and groove rib structure on the workpiece; parts with uneven thickness adopt the method of reserving the processing amount .

Causes of INA bearing noise

When using INA bearings, if there is a very harsh sound, it means that the sound is made when sliding between metals. This is when there is no impact on the INA bearing, and it will not affect the normal operation of the bearing. In this case, there will be unnecessary wear on the model and reduce the service life of the bearing. So how to troubleshoot the cause of the accident and make the bearing no longer issue? What about the harsh sound? This kind of sound is easy to produce when the radial game of the bearing is very large, and it is also easy to appear when it is running fast, and it is also easy to appear in winter.

1.Sand or carbon particles, acids or paint and other dirt and debris accidentally entered the bearing;

2.Moisture enters the bearing clearance, causing rust and corrosion inside the bearing;

3.The clearance of imported bearings is too small or too large, resulting in inappropriate selection of bearing size matching;

4.The selection of lubricating oil or grease is incorrect; the oil or grease leaks through the seal;

5.Lubricant oil level is too low, or the seat hole is twisted and not straight;

6.The roundness of the flat seat hole clamped by the bearing hole does not match;

7.The uneven horn on the bottom surface of the imported bearing seat causes deformation of the seat hole, and even cracks and dust particles appear on the imported bearing seat;

8.Residues, chips and debris in the bearing housing holes;

9.When the sealing ring is eccentric, touching the adjacent components causes friction;

There are several ways to lubricate INA bearings, and each type of bearing and various types of bearings are also different when using lubrication, which is more conducive to maximizing the service life of the bearing and making the performance of mechanical equipment at the highest efficiency status.
